We really like the AnchorSuit® invention by a long time boating family. The perfect protection against common injuries caused by the fluke anchor typically found on tenders.

anchor suit

It is a neoprene wet suit cover, which softens all impact points of the anchor. Any boater knows the fluke anchor’s sharp & jagged edges are hazards, and could be a big nuisance.

This product was created by boaters for boaters:

  • Protection from foot and toe injuries while anchoring
  • Mitigates damage to other boats if your protruding windlass or bow pulpit fluke anchor comes into accidental contact
  • Protects exterior and interior finish when moving the anchor in and out of your boat
  • Foot protection while moored or underway

The idea of the AnchorSuit® came about one day while we were anchored up on our local beach with several other boating friends. As I was picking myself up and dusting off the sand I tripped on a fluke anchor stuck into the sand. It was at that moment when I realized there must be a better way. As we began to look around we noticed that the shoreline was lined with buckets, lifejackets, flags and other make-shift covers over the fluke anchor. It was apparent that the intent was to make people aware of the anchor, but not protect them. At this moment we realized the need for a protective anchor cover, and behold along came the AnchorSuit®. — Kevin the inventor
