Yes, we know that it’s technically called the United States Powerboat Show, but that is just too boring and to self-important of a name. We, and everyone else, call it the Annapolis Boat Show.

If you’ve never been to a boat show and start with this one then you are doing yourself a great disservice…by setting your expectations of future boat shows waaaaay too high.  This boat show has it all, good weather, great scenery, nice people, lots of boats and an amazing little town in Annapolis.

Unlike the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and the Miami Boat Show (more appropriately known as the Yacht & Brokerage Show) which are huge beyond belief and located in even bigger cities, the Annapolis Show is just right. The setting is ideal, the town is worth visiting regardless of the show and the manufacturer turnout for larger boats/yachts is very good.
