Terrafugia's Transition

We’ve all grown up dreaming of the flying car and while many have tried, many have *gulp* failed.  I ran into The Transition, by Terrafugia while web surfing and just had to share it with our boating friends.  This is the first practical design that I’ve found to combine a fully functioning airplane with a street-legal car.

This dual-purpose dream machine uses regular automotive gasoline, fits into a regular parking spot and has a 500 mile range making it ideal to carry aboard larger vessels.  Imagine taking your 40M into the Bahamas, launching your Transition, driving it to the local air strip then either heading home for the weekend or tour the islands from the sky!  Best of all, at only $190k it’ll cost you less than your fancy electronics package.
