Ever wonder what to buy a yacht owner?

You were invited to a christening ceremony, and have no clue what can you possibly bring the new owner. We do admit it is a tough one, what could you possibly get someone who just purchased his dream boat (we hope)?

chronometer-2Sure you can buy wine, or embroidered shirts, towel, hats, or any other lame items you can think of. But if you want to become their best boating buddy, you know the one who is always invited for day cruises and long voyages you must be a little more original than that. Nothing says more precision and class than a marine chronometer in our opinion. It is retro, thoughtful, and touch the nostalgic cord of new boaters and sea salts alike.

Not really sure what it is click here and read some history. But really a marine chronometer is a porthole toward a time where GPS and electronic navigation systems were not around. Where a boater cruising at night will not get blinded by glaring screens, and actually see nature’s GPS above.

But we are getting a little too nostalgic, its a great gift. Dare to be different the next time you buy someone a boat gift.

Click Here we found an artist who restores and sale classic chronometers
